Chella Falconer returns to Miss Universe Philippines competition

The Miss Universe Philippines pageant is set to return this year with three familiar contestants. One of them is Chella Falconer from Cebu, who first competed four years ago. Another returning contestant is Ahtisa Manalo, the 2024 second runner-up, now representing Quezon Province. Micah Martinez is also back, this time representing Cabanatuan City after competing for Nueva Ecija last year. Chella Falconer previously entered the pageant in 2021 as a 21-year-old accountancy student. She made it to the Top 16 that year, while Beatrice Luigi Gomez won the crown. Now at 25, Chella had to participate in the Miss Universe Philippines Cebu contest to qualify for the national level. She expressed her belief that being Miss Universe Philippines is a life-changing experience. Falconer aims to inspire people, regardless of their age or circumstances. She feels more mature now compared to her first entry. Although she did not finish her degree in accountancy, she is looking to pursue nursing and is open to exploring a career in show business as well. Falconer is among 69 candidates vying for the title, hoping to follow in the footsteps of Chelsea Manalo, the reigning Miss Universe Philippines. The coronation ceremony will take place on May 2 at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City. The winner will represent the Philippines at the 74th Miss Universe pageant in Thailand later this year.
