Cheltenham Festival begins with Champion Day races today
The 2025 Cheltenham Festival begins today with "Champion Day," featuring top jockeys, trainers, and horses. The event spans four days, culminating in the Gold Cup on March 14. This year, 28 races will take place, showcasing a competition between British and Irish trainers. Last year's Gold Cup winner, Galopin Des Champs, is favored to win again. Trainer Willie Mullins has made a last-minute change, entering Lossiemouth in the Close Brothers Mares' Hurdle instead of the Unibet Champion Hurdle. Live updates, tips, and odds will be available throughout the festival.
