Cheltenham Festival forecasts 380,000 pints of Guinness

Racegoers at the Cheltenham Festival are expected to drink about 380,000 pints of Guinness this year, a 43% increase from 265,000 pints in 2024. This surge is linked to the social media trend of "splitting the G." The price of a pint has risen to £7.80, contributing to nearly £3 million in sales from Guinness alone. The festival will also feature 3,500 pints of non-alcoholic Guinness, 120,000 pints of lager, and 10,700 mini bottles of Champagne. Upgraded facilities will provide more food options and indoor seating. Around 12,000 attendees will enjoy three or four-course lunches across 17 restaurants and hospitality areas during the four-day event.
