Chennai Book Fair opens Friday with discounts and new stalls

The 48th Chennai Book Fair will start on Friday, inaugurated by Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin. The event features 900 halls and offers a 10% discount on all books. For the first time, the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments department will have a stall. Major publishers like Penguin and HarperCollins will also participate, alongside new stalls for braille publications. The fair runs for 17 days at YMCA Grounds, Nandanam, from 11 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., concluding on January 12, 2025. Free tickets will be available for students to promote reading.
