Chennai hosts 'Justice Unplugged' law conclave today

A law event called 'Justice Unplugged: Shaping the Future of Law' is happening today in Chennai. It is organized by the VIT School of Law and The Hindu. The conclave will host important discussions on challenges and opportunities in the legal field. Former Chief Justices N.V. Ramana and D.Y. Chandrachud will attend as chief guest and special guest, respectively. Senior Advocate C. Aryama Sundaram will be the guest of honor. The event starts with a welcome speech from Suresh Nambath, Editor of The Hindu. G.V. Selvam, Vice-President of VIT, will give opening remarks. Justice Chandrachud will have a conversation with Deputy Editor Mohamed Imranullah S. The first panel after lunch will focus on 'Law & Tech,' with discussions on AI, privacy, and ethics. Senior Counsel Srinath Sridevan and advocate Suhirth Parthasarathy will join the conversation, moderated by Nagaraj Nagabushanam. The second panel will explore 'The Role of Law in a Changing Society,' featuring advocates D. Nagasaila and Shabnam Banu. The discussion will be moderated by Ramya Kannan, Chief of Bureau at The Hindu. The next panel will cover 'Corporate Law & Business Ethics,' with Senior Counsel N.L. Rajah and advocate Deepika Murali participating. This session will be led by moderator Aaratrika Bhaumik. The event's final session will discuss 'Future of Legal Education in India.'
