Chennai parks to sell nutritious food through stalls

The Chennai Corporation plans to set up stalls in its parks to sell healthy food. Mayor R. Priya announced that self-help groups can run these food stalls, ensuring that the food will be hygienic and nutritious. Chennai has over 700 parks across 15 areas. The corporation has picked 10 parks, including Natesan Park and Bougainvillea Park, to improve facilities for people with disabilities. In addition to the food stalls, the Chennai Corporation will modernize bus stands and create new bus shelters throughout the city. They will also upgrade how they manage birth and death records.
