Chennai police designate new protest site due to construction

Chennai City Police have officially banned protests at Valluvar Kottam. The police have designated Swami Sivananda Salai in Triplicane as the new location for protests. City Police Commissioner A. Arun announced the change due to planned construction of a new flyover at Valluvar Kottam. This construction is expected to begin soon. Protests can now take place at two locations with police permission: Swami Sivananda Salai and the Chennai Guest House. Additionally, rallies can be held near Rajarathinam Stadium on Langs Garden Road, provided organizers obtain police approval first.
