Cheran plays a police officer in Malayalam film Narivetta
The upcoming Malayalam film Narivetta has revealed a new character poster featuring Tamil actor and director Cheran. He is known for his work in the movie Autograph. In Narivetta, Cheran will portray a police officer named R Keshavadas. The poster shows Cheran in police uniform. The announcement was made on social media with an intriguing caption, hinting at the complexity of his character. Narivetta is directed by Anuraj Manohar, who previously directed Ishq. The film is reportedly inspired by real-life events. The shooting of Narivetta began in July 2024 and wrapped up in January 2025 after about 65 days of filming in various locations, including the scenic Kuttanad and Wayanad. Tovino Thomas, the lead actor, described the filming process as demanding but rewarding. He emphasized that the film addresses an important topic while also entertaining the audience. The cast also includes Suraj Venjaramoodu, Arya Salim, Priyamvadha Krishnan, and Rini Udayakumar in significant roles. Narivetta marks the scripting debut of Abin Joseph, a former journalist and award-winning writer.
