Cherise Redden to compete in World Butcher’s Challenge
Cherise Redden, a butchery manager from Pak’nSave Glen Innes, will compete in the World Butchers’ Challenge in Paris. She is the only female on the Hellers Sharp Blacks team, which includes five other butchers from New Zealand. The competition is set for March 30-31 and features 14 teams globally. Judges will evaluate butchers on hygiene, efficiency, safety, and meat presentation. Redden, who has 19 years of experience, aims to represent her profession and heritage at this international event.
