Cherry Lane redevelopment begins at former Sears site
BMC Investments has secured financing to begin redeveloping the former Sears site in Cherry Creek. The project, named Cherry Lane, will include a nine-story apartment building and a six-story office building, replacing the closed Sears and Crate & Barrel. Demolition of the Sears is set to start this month, with plans for a pedestrian walkway and over 132,000 square feet of retail space. The project aims to enhance the area, with completion expected by October 2027. This redevelopment is part of a larger trend in Cherry Creek, as another project by East West Partners is also underway, which will include residential and office buildings near the Cherry Creek Shopping Center.
