Chetan Sakariya rejoins Kolkata Knight Riders as replacement

Chetan Sakariya has been signed by the Kolkata Knight Riders as a replacement for injured player Umran Malik. This marks a significant return for Sakariya, who faced personal losses and a serious injury in recent years. Sakariya, a member of Saurashtra's 2020 Ranji Trophy-winning team, had not played since February 2024 due to his injury. He began rehabilitation at the National Cricket Academy and was later recommended to KKR by former India bowling coach Bharat Arun. Having previously played for Rajasthan Royals and Delhi Capitals, Sakariya aims to make the most of this new opportunity. He expressed happiness about rejoining the team and feels welcomed back.
