A meeting of Chief Ministers and political leaders will take place in Chennai on March 22. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin organized the meeting to discuss delimitation, which involves redrawing electoral boundaries. The event will be held at the ITC Chola Hotel. According to DMK MLA N. Ezhilan, Stalin invited Chief Ministers from seven states to ensure their participation. Senior DMK officials also visited these states to reinforce the invitation. Attendees include Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and other leaders from various political parties. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy from Telangana, Punjab's Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar, and representatives from West Bengal's Trinamool Congress and Odisha’s Biju Janata Dal will also join. Ezhilan expressed concern about the potential loss of Lok Sabha constituencies due to delimitation. He emphasized that the DMK is committed to representing the rights of states and promoting social justice. The party is advocating for adequate parliamentary representation to amplify their voice. The DMK has raised these issues in Parliament recently, but according to Ezhilan, the BJP government has not responded satisfactorily.
