Chiefs aim to trade for receiver Matthew Golden

This time, the Chiefs may trade with the Los Angeles Rams to move up to the 26th overall pick. NFL writer Lucas Strozinsky mentioned that the Chiefs aim to draft Texas wide receiver Matthew Golden. He impressed observers with a 4.29 second time in the 40-yard dash at the NFL combine. Golden is noted for his skills as a route runner and his ability to make plays at different levels on the field. With uncertainty about the future of their current receivers, including Xavier Worthy and Rashee Rice, the Chiefs could benefit from adding Golden. He had an impressive season at Texas, with 987 receiving yards and nine touchdowns. Strozinsky suggested the Chiefs would offer their 31st and 95th picks to the Rams in exchange for the 26th pick and a sixth-round selection. While giving up a third-round pick is risky, the potential for Golden to excel in Mahomes' offense could make it worthwhile for the Chiefs.
