Chiefs re-sign JuJu Smith-Schuster for roster rebuild
The Kansas City Chiefs have re-signed wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster as they continue to rebuild their roster following a recent Super Bowl loss. Smith-Schuster will be returning for his third season with the Chiefs after joining the team in 2022 and playing in 2024. The specific terms of his new contract are still unknown, but it is expected to be a one-year deal. Last season, Smith-Schuster had modest statistics, recording 18 catches for 213 yards and two touchdowns. His performance was affected, as he only joined the team just before the regular season began. With the departure of DeAndre Hopkins to the Baltimore Ravens, the Chiefs may depend more on Smith-Schuster in the upcoming season. Other wide receivers on the team include Rashee Rice and promising newcomer Xavier Worthy.
