Summary: A study presented at the European Congress on Obesity revealed that severely obese children at age four could have a life expectancy of 39 years if they don't lose weight. Research from 50 studies involving over 10 million people worldwide showed that early weight loss could significantly increase life expectancy. For instance, reducing a BMI z score from 4.0 to 2.0 by age six could increase life expectancy to 64 years.
