China-Africa green cooperation highlighted at FOCAC Summit

At the 2024 Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) Summit, green cooperation emerged as a key focus. Leaders from South Africa, Kenya, and Zimbabwe welcomed deeper collaboration in new energy. China and South Africa plan to co-host New Energy Investment Conferences. China has signed 19 climate cooperation agreements with 17 African nations and has participated in over 120 climate projects since 2021, enhancing energy security and addressing climate change.
