China aims to enhance foreign investment in 2025

China plans to stabilize foreign investment in 2025, according to the Ministry of Commerce. The ministry stated on Thursday that it will introduce measures to open up more industries and enhance the business climate. So far, China has allowed 13 foreign companies to access value-added telecom services. Additionally, more than 40 biotechnology projects funded by foreigners have started, and three new hospitals wholly owned by foreign entities have received approval. The ministry aims to expand its pilot programs this year, focusing on areas like education and culture. To attract more foreign investors, China will hold various promotional events abroad. Furthermore, the ministry has resolved over 500 issues faced by foreign enterprises through discussions. It promises to continue improving the service and business environment for these investors. China is also committed to supporting both local and foreign businesses in initiatives like upgrading equipment and engaging in government procurement, ensuring fair competition for all firms. This follows an action plan issued last month aimed at stabilizing foreign investment in 2025.
