China and Pakistan strengthen strategic cooperation for benefits

On Sunday, Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan, Jiang Zaidong, spoke about the strong partnership between China and Pakistan. He made these comments at the opening of the "Esthetic Bridge" exhibition at the Silkroad Culture Center in Islamabad. Jiang emphasized that this cooperation would bring mutual benefits to both countries. He noted that President Xi Jinping values exchanges between different cultures. Jiang mentioned a global initiative that aims to celebrate the diversity of world civilizations. He also congratulated Pakistan on its National Day and expressed deep respect for the long-standing friendship between the two nations. Since establishing diplomatic relations in 1951, China and Pakistan have supported each other. Jiang highlighted how Pakistan was the first Islamic country to recognize China after the establishment of the People's Republic. He recalled significant events, such as the construction of the Karakoram Highway and Pakistan’s assistance during the 2008 earthquake. The ambassador acknowledged Pakistan's current economic reforms, which are aimed at improving the country's economy. He said that the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor has played a big role in helping Pakistan's development and well-being. Jiang reiterated that both countries have stood by each other in tough times, strengthening their friendship. He mentioned important visits from leaders of both nations that have reinforced their close ties. Jiang believes that this partnership is entering a new phase, offering fresh opportunities for cooperation. The exhibition highlighted the beauty of both Chinese and Pakistani art. Jiang stated it would encourage deeper dialogue between artists from the two countries.
