China names four Taiwanese in cyberattack accusations
Mainland China's Ministry of State Security has named four individuals from Taiwan's internet defense command, accusing them of involvement in cyberattacks. This is the first time such detailed personal information has been released. The ministry claims these individuals acted on behalf of "Taiwan independence separatist forces." They allegedly conducted attacks on critical infrastructure in mainland China, including utilities and communications. The statement also alleges that the Taiwanese group sent phishing emails and counterpropaganda to various government and military entities in China.
