China's November inflation data shows mixed trends in consumer and producer prices
China's inflation data for November shows mixed results. The Consumer Price Index (CPI) rose by 0.2% year-on-year, the lowest increase in five months, while the Producer Price Index (PPI) declined by 2.5% year-on-year, the smallest drop in three months. Core CPI, which excludes food and energy, increased by 0.3% year-on-year, up from the previous month. However, the national CPI decreased month-on-month due to higher temperatures and reduced travel demand. Overall, the data reflects a slight improvement in industrial demand, but inflation remains low, with actual figures falling short of expectations.
