China's SDUNITED launches innovative Strix Halo mini PC

A new mini PC called the SDUNITED AX835-025FF is making waves in the tech world. This device is powered by AMD’s Ryzen AI Max+ 395 processor, featuring 128GB of fast memory. It is part of AMD’s Strix Halo technology, which is being adopted quickly by smaller Chinese brands. The AX835-025FF is designed for high performance. Its 16-core processor is expected to perform like an RTX 4060, making it suitable for tasks like photo editing. While big companies such as Asus and HP focus on larger devices, smaller brands are exploring compact computers. This mini PC includes an impressive 14 ports, providing extensive connectivity options. However, it does not have OCuLink, which limits the ability to add external graphics. The design is larger than some ultra-compact PCs, like Intel’s NUC, but smaller than most traditional desktops. It also has a dual-fan cooling system to manage its power needs. The current version of the Ryzen AI Max+ 395 has some issues with stability and power management. These problems may lead to fluctuations in power use. However, expectations are high that the final retail version will address these challenges.
