Chinese citizen charged for flying drone over US military base in California

A Chinese citizen, Yinpiao Zhou, was charged for flying a drone over Vandenberg Space Force Base in California and taking photos. He was arrested at San Francisco International Airport before boarding a flight to China. Zhou, 39, allegedly flew the drone from Ocean Park, reaching nearly one mile in altitude. Authorities found the drone hidden in his jacket and discovered images of the base on it. Zhou faces charges for failing to register the drone and violating national defense airspace. He could face up to four years in prison.
