Chinese vendor offers RTX 4090 cheaper than RTX 5090
A Chinese company has started selling a new version of the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 graphics card with 48 GB of VRAM. This version is priced lower than the newer RTX 5090 and comes with water cooling. The RTX 4090 with 48 GB VRAM is intended for high-performance computing, especially for tasks that require more memory, like artificial intelligence. A user on Reddit shared pictures of this graphics card, showing a cooling system that includes three fans and a radiator. The packaging clearly states that it is the "GeForce RTX 4090 48 GB." This graphics card features the same GPU architecture as the original RTX 4090, which includes 16,384 CUDA cores and GDDR6X memory. Although the new version has a larger memory capacity, it does not have higher memory speeds. However, the increased VRAM can improve performance in certain complex tasks. The price for the RTX 4090 48 GB is around $3,400. Despite being more affordable than the RTX 5090, finding the latter at its suggested retail price may be challenging. In addition, there are rumors that a version with 96 GB of memory may be released soon, although it is not finalized yet.
