Chitrangada Singh excited for her role in Khakee

Chitrangada Singh is excited about her new role in the Netflix political thriller "Khakee: The Bengal Chapter." She plays Nibedita Basak, a strong opposition leader who turns to politics after a personal tragedy. This is only her second web series role, following her appearance in "Modern Love Mumbai" in 2022. In an interview, the 48-year-old actress said she hasn't had such an interesting character in a long time. She found the role of Nibedita to be compelling and well-written. Chitrangada expressed her enthusiasm for portraying a character who gives speeches and faces challenges in the political world. She described her character's journey as both emotional and professional. Chitrangada also praised the show's talented ensemble cast, which includes stars like Jeet, Prosenjit Chatterjee, and Ritwik Bhowmik. Although she does not share scenes with all of them, she appreciated director Neeraj Pandey's ability to cast the right people for each role. She called the cast one of the best ensembles for a Netflix show. After "Khakee," Chitrangada will appear in the film "Housefull 5," alongside popular actors like Akshay Kumar and Riteish Deshmukh.
