The 53-year-old actress revealed that she has been hospitalized over 30 times in the past three years due to severe vomiting and diarrhea. Applegate explained that she experienced a range of pain and discomfort since her diagnosis. She expressed that the numerous tests and treatments have involved a lot of radiation from CT scans. Recently, she believes she may have discovered the cause of her symptoms. She suggested that people with MS should talk to their doctors about motility issues, as this condition can slow down the function of various organs. Applegate noted a troubling correlation between her need to use the bathroom and her vomiting. She plans to discuss this concern with her doctor during an upcoming colonoscopy. Applegate, who was diagnosed with MS in 2021, has been open about her struggles with the disease. She humorously mentioned that having simultaneous diarrhea and vomiting has become a part of her life with MS, noting the importance of being prepared. Despite the challenges, she continues to provide insights into her health on her podcast, which launched in March 2024.
