C.J. Stroud receives praise from Matthew Stafford
C.J. Stroud, quarterback for the Houston Texans, had a strong rookie season but faced challenges in his second year. Despite his struggles, he received positive recognition from future Hall of Fame player Matthew Stafford, who plays for the Los Angeles Rams. Stafford praised Stroud for his energetic playing style. He mentioned that watching younger players like Stroud keeps him motivated. “They are just playing carefree and ripping it,” Stafford said on a podcast. Stroud did see an increase in interceptions during his second season, going from five to twelve. However, he managed to lead his team to a better record in his sophomore year, finishing 10-7 compared to 9-6 in his rookie year. The Texans and Rams have not faced each other yet with both quarterbacks playing. They are scheduled to meet in 2025 at SoFi Stadium in California.
