Clancy, Noonan, and Mustaki return to Ireland squad
Aoibheann Clancy is back in the Republic of Ireland women's football squad for the first time since November 2022. She plays as a midfielder for Shelbourne and has shown great form with her club. Clancy is joined by Celtic striker Saoirse Noonan and Bristol City's Chloe Mustaki as they prepare for two matches against Greece in the UEFA Nations League. Clancy earned her spot after impressive performances but is the only Shelbourne player included in the final squad. Ruesha Littlejohn from Shamrock Rovers also represents the SSE Airtricity Women's Premier Division team. Noonan is in excellent goal-scoring form and will contribute after not playing in the previous season’s Nations League matches. The Republic of Ireland team hopes to recover from a heavy 4-0 defeat to Slovenia in their last game. They will face Greece on Friday, April 4, and again on Tuesday, April 8, in home and away matches. Unfortunately, several players are unavailable due to injuries, including Louise Quinn, Tara O'Hanlon, and Megan Connolly. The upcoming matches are crucial for the team's performance in League B, Group 2 of the Nations League.
