Cleanup efforts are ongoing in the southern U.S. after a severe storm system caused at least four deaths and over 30 confirmed tornadoes from Texas to South Carolina. The storms included hail, rain, and high winds, impacting holiday travel. In Texas, six tornadoes were confirmed, with two rated EF3, causing significant damage in Montgomery County. In Mississippi, two fatalities occurred, including an 18-year-old in Natchez. A 70-year-old man died in North Carolina when a tree fell on his truck. High winds also affected western Pennsylvania, causing power outages for about 60,000 customers. Wind speeds exceeded 60 miles per hour, leading to downed trees and utility poles.
