Cleanup efforts begin in southern U.S. after deadly tornadoes and storms

Cleanup efforts are ongoing in the southern U.S. after a severe storm system caused tornadoes, hail, and damaging winds over the weekend, resulting in at least four fatalities. Over 30 tornadoes have been confirmed, with significant damage reported from Texas to South Carolina. In Texas, six tornadoes were confirmed, including two rated EF3, causing extensive damage in Montgomery County. In Mississippi, two deaths were reported, including an 18-year-old killed by a falling tree. North Carolina and Alabama also experienced fatalities and damage from the storms. Power outages affected thousands, with about 22,000 in Mississippi and 60,000 in Pennsylvania due to strong winds.
