Clint Capela out for season with hand injury
Atlanta Hawks center Clint Capela is likely to be out for the rest of the regular season due to a left hand injury. The team announced on Friday that an MRI revealed a ligament issue in his hand. Capela will be assessed again in three to four weeks. The Hawks’ last regular-season game is on April 13 against Orlando. At 30 years old, Capela lost his starting position to Onyeka Okongwu in January. This season, he has played in 55 games, starting 41, and is averaging 8.9 points and 8.5 rebounds. This marks a drop from his previous eight seasons where he consistently scored in double figures. Currently, the Hawks sit seventh in the Eastern Conference and are likely to qualify for the play-in tournament.
