CNN aired multiple Trump rallies before the Butler event, including live coverage on June 18, June 22, June 28, and July 9, 2024. The network has confirmed that it has broadcast many rallies featuring Trump throughout the year. On March 20, 2025, CNN addressed the rumor directly, stating that they provided live coverage of several Trump rallies in 2024. They emphasized that the assertion about only airing the Butler rally is incorrect. No evidence supports the idea that CNN did not cover other rallies. Additionally, there is no link between CNN and the assassination attempt against Trump.
