Cody Gakpo scores; Wataru Endo qualifies for World Cup

On Thursday, several Liverpool players competed internationally, highlighting their talents on various national teams. Cody Gakpo was among those who made an impact by scoring in a match. Wataru Endo led Japan to a 2-0 victory against Bahrain. With this win, Japan became the first team to secure a spot in next year’s World Cup. In another match, Kostas Tsimikas and Andy Robertson faced off as Greece played against Scotland in a Nations League play-off. Robertson's Scotland won the match 1-0, making it a successful night for him. Caoimhin Kelleher was part of the Republic of Ireland squad that defeated Bulgaria 2-1 in their League B/C play-off. Unfortunately, it was a tough night for Ibrahima Konate and Dominik Szoboszlai. Konate's France lost 2-0 to Croatia, and Szoboszlai's Hungary was beaten 3-1 by Turkiye. Lastly, Josh Sonni-Lambie, an Academy player for Liverpool, played for England's U18 team. He came off the bench in the second half of their friendly match against Czechia, which ended in a 2-2 draw.
