Coimbatore Vizha 2024 hosts art competition for government school students
Coimbatore Vizha 2024 hosted a large art competition for government school students on Saturday, with over 400 participants from 133 schools. Students created artworks envisioning "Coimbatore in 2030," competing for cash prizes totaling ₹22,500. Winners were chosen by a panel of judges, and the top 100 artworks will be displayed at Art Street on November 30 and December 1. A canvas painting workshop was also held, providing students with art kits worth ₹2.5 lakh. In the evening, the Isai Mazhai music festival took place, honoring Coimbatore Police and their families. The event attracted over 500 attendees and featured local bands. Future performances are scheduled for November 16, 17, and 23, 24, with a Canter Van visiting various locations from November 25 to 29.
