Colleen Hoover's "Reminders of Him" film adaptation announced
Colleen Hoover is busy with multiple book adaptations. After the success of "It Ends With Us," she now has three films based on her works in production. Two of them, "Regretting You" and "Verity," are already in the pipeline. The latest announcement is about her 2022 novel, "Reminders of Him." Universal Studios will adapt this book. Colleen Hoover has teamed up with Lauren Levine to write the script. The story follows a woman named Kenna Rowan, who returns to her hometown after serving five years in prison. Her goal is to reunite with her four-year-old daughter, despite facing resistance from others around her child. Maika Monroe has been cast as Kenna, which comes as a surprise to many. Monroe is known for her roles in independent horror films like "It Follows" and "The Guest." While she hasn’t taken on roles in major book adaptations before, this film offers her a chance to explore a different genre and tell a story about motherhood and redemption. Vanessa Caswill, known for directing "Love At First Sight," will direct "Reminders of Him." There are high expectations for the film, as Hoover’s works continue to attract attention and talent. Along with "Reminders of Him" and "Verity," the adaptation of "Regretting You" features a notable cast that includes Allison Williams and Dave Franco. Hoover’s continued success shows she is far from retiring, as her stories are sought after in the film industry.
