Colorado Springs seeks more victims of sexual assault case

A Colorado Springs man, Christopher Angulo, age 38, was arrested on January 29 for allegedly sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl. Authorities believe there may be more victims after finding that Angulo communicated with several young people on social media. Investigators reported that Angulo met the girl on Snapchat. He invited her to his home, where she initially slept on his couch. However, Angulo later insisted that she sleep in his bed to stay there. The girl told detectives that he pressured her into having sex, despite her saying no. According to the arrest affidavit, Angulo is accused of engaging in sexual acts with the girl at least ten times over a two-week period in June 2024. He also allegedly took inappropriate photographs of her without her consent. The victim managed to escape by telling Angulo she would go to the park but did not return. Angulo has been charged with sexual assault on a child by someone in a position of trust. He is being held in the El Paso County Jail on a $30,000 bond.
