Comme des Garçons x Nike Sense 96 sneakers released

The highly anticipated Comme des Garçons x Nike Sense 96 sneakers have finally been released after nine months of waiting. Initially showcased at Paris Fashion Week, these shoes are more than they seem. At first glance, many thought the Sense 96 was a brand new design. However, it turns out to be a combination of two classic Nike models. The top part of the sneaker is taken from the Air Max 96, which celebrates its 30th anniversary this year. Unlike the original, which used mesh and lightweight materials, this version features luxurious leather. The design includes embroidered Swoosh logos and a glossy version on the toe. The midsole, sourced from 2022’s ISPA Sense Flyknit, is made of bouncy foam and reflects patterns inspired by Japanese zen gardens. The sneakers will come in three color options: Pink, Black, and White. They will be packaged in a special edition shoebox used by Comme des Garçons and Nike since their partnership began in 1999. In addition to the Sense 96, designer Rei Kawakubo is also working on other new collections, including a collaboration with Brain Dead and Adidas, as well as a partnership with New Balance. The Comme des Garçons x Nike Sense 96 will soon be available at Dover Street Market, the Nike website, and select retailers. While the retail price is not yet known, it is likely to be on the higher end.
