Congress leader calls for government change in Bihar
Congress leader Pawan Khera criticized the Nitish Kumar-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government in Bihar on March 23, 2025. He spoke about the state’s development issues and poor law and order during a press conference in Patna, joined by other Congress leaders. Khera expressed disappointment with the government, saying it has failed Bihar for the past 20 years. He stated that many people are leaving Bihar due to lack of opportunities, despite the state having talented individuals. He mentioned a recent report from the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) that has not received attention in the legislature or media. Khera pointed out serious problems in healthcare, noting a shortage of doctors and nurses in hospitals. He highlighted issues of malnutrition among children and rising anemia in adolescent girls. He claimed that a caste-based survey aimed at helping different communities has faced delays due to legal issues and suggested that the government did not push for its proper implementation. His message was clear: for Bihar to improve, the current government must change. He urged people to “Change government, Change Bihar.” He also promised that Congress has a comprehensive vision for the state that benefits all communities. Krishna Allavaru, another Congress leader, supported this vision. He assured that Congress would reveal the true situation of Bihar and hold the government accountable. Meanwhile, Rajesh Kumar emphasized the party's commitment to social justice and unity among all communities in Bihar. Both Khera and Allavaru avoided discussing potential alliances with the Rashtriya Janata Dal for the upcoming Assembly elections.
