Congress party revamping leadership in Uttar Pradesh soon

The Congress party is planning to make changes in its leadership in Uttar Pradesh. This update comes after a meeting held by All-India Congress Committee (AICC) president Mallikarjun Kharge in New Delhi. Several senior leaders, including Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, participated in the discussions. Avinash Pandey, in charge of the Congress in Uttar Pradesh, confirmed that the announcement of new state and district party committees is expected soon. The meeting focused on improving local party structures. It included a proposal to change district party presidents who do not meet performance expectations. The party is preparing to meet with district Congress presidents in New Delhi on March 27, 28, and April 3. As the current district units are dissolved, new District Congress Committees (DCC) will be formed before this meeting. Recommendations for the new DCC presidents have already been made. This restructuring comes after a week-long process called 'Sangathan Srajan' that aimed to bring together past leaders and new members. The Congress party has signaled its intention to include both experienced and younger leaders in its new team. However, some leaders feel left out, raising questions about whether existing members will be part of the new structure. A senior party member expressed hope that all capable leaders will be included in future responsibilities.
