Congress seeks cancellation of KCR's Assembly membership

Congress leaders and supporters from the Gajwel Assembly constituency have asked Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy to cancel the Assembly membership of former Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR). They are concerned because KCR has not been attending Assembly sessions. On March 24, 2025, a large group of Congress members, led by Narsa Reddy, walked from Siddipet to Hyderabad to meet the Chief Minister. During their visit, they expressed their concerns and planned to submit a formal request to Governor Jishnu Dev Varma. KCR, who is also the leader of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), represents Gajwel in the Assembly. His absence from recent sessions has raised eyebrows. Chief Minister Reddy highlighted that KCR has received a salary of ₹57,84,124 from December 2023 to February 28, 2025, yet attended the Assembly only twice during that period.
