Conman arrested for running fake intelligence agency in UP
A conman has been arrested in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, for running a fake intelligence organization. He is accused of deceiving people by creating forged documents. The police say Vijay Massey posed as the director of an organization called 'Covert Intelligence Network Social Welfare Association'. Authorities conducted a raid on Monday evening and found Massey in his office. They seized many forged documents and materials during the operation. Police Superintendent Manush Parik mentioned that they received complaints about Massey misleading the public, which prompted the investigation. Massey is originally from Champawat district in Uttarakhand but had been living in Izzatnagar. He admitted to only completing Class 12 and previously worked at a security company before starting his forgery activities. He confessed to issuing fake identity cards that resembled police credentials. The police confiscated a variety of documents, including ID cards, appointment letters, and application forms. They also took a car marked "Director" in police-style writing. Massey charged people for services like lodging complaints, securing loans, and finding jobs, using fake letters to manipulate officials. Police continue to investigate his activities and are trying to identify others involved in the scheme.
