Connecticut man arrested for fleeing December crash

A 19-year-old man from Hartford, Connecticut, was arrested for fleeing a crash last December. The incident took place on Route 5 in South Windsor. Police say Jayden Perez ran from the scene of the accident on foot. After an investigation determined he was at fault, officers obtained an arrest warrant for him. Perez turned himself in at the police station on Tuesday. He faces several charges, including evading responsibility and reckless driving. He also is charged with operating a vehicle without proper insurance and a license. After being processed, Perez was released on a $5,000 bond. He is scheduled to appear in court on April 7 in Manchester.
