Constable killed in Kamareddy patrol car crash
In Kamareddy district, a police constable named Vadla Ravi Kumar tragically died after a car collided with him during a patrol on Thursday morning. He was 40 years old and had been on duty with another constable, Subhash, when the incident occurred. Around 2:50 AM, the two constables, part of the local Blue Colts team, were stopped by the roadside on their two-wheeler for observation. A speeding car came from Kamareddy and struck them. Subhash managed to escape but sustained injuries and is hospitalized. Unfortunately, Ravi Kumar died at the scene. CCTV footage from a nearby store captured the moment of the accident. Police later identified the driver of the car as Sonuguri Sannith, who was accused of reckless driving. Local police chief, SP Rajesh Chandra, expressed his sorrow for Ravi Kumar's family, noting his contributions to the police force. Ravi Kumar, a constable since 2007 and from Dheme village, received multiple awards for his service. His final rites were conducted with police honors, attended by fellow constables and local residents.
