Constitution Hill aims to defend Champion Hurdle title

The Cheltenham Festival begins on Tuesday, featuring the renamed Michael O’Sullivan Supreme Novices’ Hurdle. This year, Constitution Hill returns to defend his title in the Champion Hurdle after missing the 2024 event due to health issues. Constitution Hill faces competition from Brighterdaysahead, who recently won a major race in Ireland. Last year's Champion Hurdle winner, State Man, is also in the mix, but his form has been inconsistent. Other key races include the Arkle Novices’ Chase and the Mares’ Hurdle, with Lossiemouth now favored in the latter after switching events. The National Hunt Chase has been converted into a handicap this year, attracting significant betting interest.
