Conte targets Torino's Milinkovic-Savic for Napoli's goalkeeping
Antonio Conte is interested in signing Torino goalkeeper Vanja Milinkovic-Savic for Napoli. This is despite Napoli nearing an agreement to extend the contract of their current goalkeeper, Alex Meret. Reports from Sky Sport Italia say Napoli plans an active summer transfer window. They expect to return to the Champions League next season and have already linked several players to the team. These include defenders Federico Gatti and Sam Beukema, and they have confirmed a deal for Luca Marianucci from Empoli. In addition to defenders, Napoli is considering attacking players like Igor Paixao, Edon Zhegrova, and Lorenzo Lucca. However, Conte really wants Milinkovic-Savic to join, even if Meret's contract is almost finalized. According to the reports, Conte aims to have two strong goalkeepers competing for the starting position. Milinkovic-Savic has been impressive this season, recording nine clean sheets in Serie A. This puts him among the top goalkeepers in Italy, and he has also saved four penalties, the best in Europe’s top leagues.
