Cooper Flagg honors friend by wearing No. 2
Cooper Flagg, a top NBA draft prospect, wears No. 2 at Duke to honor Donovan Kurt, a friend of his brother who passed away from brain cancer. Kurt wore No. 2 in high school, and Flagg wants to represent him. Previously, Flagg wore No. 32, which he chose to honor his mother and her college teammate, who also passed away from cancer. However, he switched to No. 2 at Duke because the school retired No. 32 in honor of Christian Laettner. Flagg is set to showcase his skills in March Madness before deciding whether to enter the NBA Draft. His performance in the tournament may influence his decision on returning to Duke for another year.
