Cora supports Henry's enthusiasm after Bregman signing
Boston Red Sox manager Alex Cora recently commented on a photo of team owner John Henry enjoying a cigar. The picture was shared on Instagram by Linda Pizzuti Henry after the Red Sox signed star player Alex Bregman to a three-year contract. Cora expressed his support for Henry's excitement. He said, “When I saw the picture I was like, ‘Yeah, do it,’ you know? Like, ‘Hell yeah.’” Cora believes that the ownership genuinely cares about the team and the Fenway community. He noted that they promised to be aggressive in improving the team and they delivered with recent moves. Earlier, Cora had commented on the cigar photo without revealing details of Bregman’s deal. At that time, he joked about Henry’s frustration with a soccer game, suggesting that was why he was smoking the cigar. The day after the photo was posted, Bregman’s signing was officially announced. The Red Sox have been active in the offseason, also trading for ace Garrett Crochet and signing Aroldis Chapman, who is expected to be a key closer for the team.
