Cornell students disrupt peace event with protests
Students at Cornell University disrupted a peace event featuring former Israeli and Palestinian officials, including Tzipi Livni. Protesters shouted antisemitic slogans and called for a walkout, claiming the event was biased despite the inclusion of both sides. At least 16 protesters were arrested during the chaos. Livni emphasized the need to respect both sides' aspirations for statehood, while the event aimed to foster understanding of the complex history of the region. The demonstration was organized by Students for Justice in Palestine. Cornell University has not yet commented on the incident.
