Cornyn criticizes Democrats for not condemning Tesla vandalism
Senator John Cornyn from Texas has criticized Democrats for not speaking out against recent vandalism targeting Tesla. He claims the party has become "unteachable" and is not addressing important national issues. His comments followed charges issued by Attorney General Pam Bondi against three individuals responsible for vandalizing Tesla vehicles and properties. Bondi labeled these actions as "domestic terrorism" and warned that the government would take serious legal action against those involved. Cornyn urged Democrats to collaborate with Republicans to prevent such destruction. He expressed frustration with Democratic leaders and suggested their approach has not learned from recent electoral losses. In a discussion on Fox News, Cornyn pointed out that tearing down property, like Tesla cars, is not a solution to any problems. He also criticized Minnesota Governor Tim Walz for celebrating a drop in Tesla’s stock, questioning his political judgment. Amid these tensions, Representative Jasmine Crockett from Texas voiced her opposition to Tesla during a livestream event, stating her desire for Tesla's founder, Elon Musk, to be "taken down." In response, some supporters of Musk organized counter-protests in Utah, emphasizing peaceful demonstration without causing harm. Cornyn expressed gratitude that federal authorities are tackling the issue of vandalism against Tesla. Meanwhile, fellow Democrat Rep. Ro Khanna has called for his party to denounce vandalism, promoting a shared stance against such actions.
