Corunna principal Ingrid Dettman named Michigan's Middle School Principal of the Year
Corunna Middle School Principal Ingrid Dettman has been named Michigan’s 2025-26 Middle School Principal of the Year by the Michigan Association of Secondary School Principals. The award recognizes her leadership, commitment to students, and engagement with the school community. Dettman, who has served as principal for five years and worked in the district for over 20 years, was surprised with the award during a ceremony on November 25. The event featured students and staff celebrating her achievements. As the state’s nominee, Dettman will represent Michigan at the National Association of Secondary School Principals’ conference in Seattle in July 2025. She expressed pride in representing her school and community.
