Cost-effective cleaning hacks for gold and silver jewelry
Gold and silver jewellery can tarnish over time, but there are affordable ways to clean them. Jewellery expert Ajay Anand shares two methods that cost about 10p each. The first method involves mixing warm water with mild liquid soap. Soak the jewellery, scrub gently with a soft cloth, and rinse. For intricate pieces, a soft-bristled toothbrush can help clean details. The second method uses baking soda and salt in hot water, lined with aluminium foil. This method is effective but may not be suitable for delicate sterling silver, which requires a special cleaning dip.
